Coronavirus COVID-19

Update

As experts in the delivery of care in challenging environments, we've got it covered.

It's more important than ever to look after each other through these unusual times.

The Health and Safety Executive state that the current pandemic does not affect employers responsibilities in respect of the health and safety of their staff.

First Aid and Mental Health First Aid training can take place during national lock-down or in any local Tier restrictions if it is deemed 'essential' training.

​​We're still delivering first aid and mental health first aid training in a way that minimises the risk of transmission of the Sars-Cov-2 (Covid-19) virus.

We offer blended learning or completely online formats (MHFA only) to minimise or remove face-to-face contact.

Face-to-face training is 'Covid Secure' in line with national and local Government, HSE and Industry guidelines, as well as individual organisational requirements.

What is 'Covid Secure'?

  • Each course is risk assessed in relation to Covid-19

  • Learners are asked not to come if they have symptoms

  • Learners may have their temperature checked on arrival

  • Social distancing is encouraged throughout

  • Training rooms will be ventillated where possible

  • 70% alcohol hand sanitiser is always available

  • Hand washing is encouraged throughout

  • Practical training activities have been adapted to minimise risk

  • Learners only break social distancing for the purpose of essential assessment and then wear face coverings

  • Equipment is thoroughly cleaned before and after each use

  • Processes are in place in case someone develops symptoms during or after training

  • Learners will not have to do anything they are not comfortable with
