First Aid Annual Refresher - half day

This course is available as either:

  • On-site (half day face-to-face), or
  • On-line (eLearning)
Face-to face training is delivered at your venue. It can be delivered at the weekends or in the evening. The high quality interactive eLearning can be completed by learners on any internet connected device, at a time, place and pace to suit them.




Overview


This course will refresh the knowledge, skills and confidence to look after someone who becomes injured or unwell. It will be tailored to the needs of the learners on the course.

Annual first aid refreshers are 'strongly recommended' by the Health and Safety Executive.

Introduction:

  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Incident management
  • Casualty assessment

Respiratory problems:

  • Unconscious person

Cardiovascular problems:

  • Bleeding
  • Shock
  • Cardiac arrest (CPR and AED)




Qualification - Optional


If required, this course may also lead to the Qualsafe Awards Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Refresher (RQF) or the Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (Annual Refresher) (RQF) as appropriate. In this case, learners must be at least 14 years old and complete the course within 3 weeks.
