COURSE OVERVIEW

This course refreshes and updates the knowledge, skills and confidence required to look after a child or baby who suddenly becomes injured or unwell.

It ensures that First Aiders are up to date with the latest protocols and are ready to act when needed, as 'strongly recommended' by the Health and Safety Executive.

TOPICS

The topics on this course will be tailored to recent changes and the needs of the learners.

It usually include topics such as:

• Unconscious casualty
• Cardiac arrest - CPR and AED
• Choking
• Shock

CERTIFICATION

All of our courses are fully assessed and certificated to nationally recognised standards. eCertificates are valid for 3 years.

If required, this course may also lead to the QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (Annual Refresher) (RQF).

In this case, learners must be at least 14 years old and complete the course within 3 weeks.
