This course will give learners the knowledge, skills and confidence to look after an adult or child who suddenly becomes injured or unwell whilst scouting.
This course has been specifically designed to meet the requirements of the Scouts First Response syllabus as detailed in the POR and FS120052.
"All groups undertaking nights away or remote adventurous activities where travelling time is less than 3 hours to a point of refuge must have immediate access to someone holding a relevant and current First Response Certificate. Members must also maintain a minimum of first response at all times following their first appointment review".
This course lasts 6 hours. It is only available as a 1 day face-to-face course.
